About Us
Who We Are
Women of Excellence is a student organization established at The University of Texas at Austin in 2013. Our pillars include mentorship, leadership, service, and diversity. Our goal as an organization is to increase the visibility of women in leadership around campus as well as build confidence in young women so they are able to achieve amazing things at the University of Texas and beyond. We accomplish this through a mentorship program, professional development, leadership opportunities, and a variety of service events and projects.

Every year, our mentees, or Buds, create and execute a service project to give back to the Austin community. The original project envisioned by the Bud Class of 2019 involved an on-campus event in which our attendees would learn about issues pertaining to women's health. Additionally, we raised funds for period products to distribute at either local elementary schools or women's shelters. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, our original plans were no longer possible. In the spirit of service, we decided to transform our initial project into this website. This website reflects the efforts of women all across our organization.
